Mainstream Aquaculture is proud to showcase the Infinity Blue Barramundi in the Sydney Zoo aquarium.

Barramundi live in both freshwater and saltwater and dominate many tropical rivers. They eat almost anything, including other barramundi, and can consume prey up to 60 per cent their own length.

During their lifecycle, they change sex from male to female and these versatile fish are the main predator of the floodplains they live in.

Infinity Blue Barramundi are grown in pristine water conditions, with no antibiotics or hormones, and are harvested using best practices to minimise stress.

By eating Infinity Blue Barramundi, you are saving our oceans, one fish at a time!

It is absolutely amazing to see our fish in such a beautiful environment, living alongside over 25 species of Australian natives including a resident bull shark –  who surprisingly is terrified of our barramundi according to the zookeepers!

16 ex-broodstock Barramundi, each weighing 8kg - 12kg, were sent to Sydney zoo so the world can see these amazing fish.

Between them, they have parented well over 100 million meals.
